Learned so much about olive oil and the taste was an epiphany. I will never look at store bought oil the same. ~ J.M.

Mezzogiorno Journey

Fall in love with adventure vacations to Southern Italy. Start on the Amalfi Coast, where the beautiful weather, crystal clear blue waters, and incredible sights will capture your heart long after you move on to the next destination. Just as they did the Roman emperors, who established villas, temples, and gardens here to get a taste of paradise. Treat yourself to some limoncello made from locally grown lemons on on of Via Mondo’s famous food tours and savor the sweet taste and sweeter memories as you travel east to Basilicata. Adventure vacations in southern Italy are not complete without touring the caves and getting lost in the region’s history and culture. Move on to Apulia, the “heel” on the boot that is Southern Italy. Explore the natural wonders of the region. Take in the sights, taste the locally made olive oil on one of our food tours, explore the fairy tale-like trulli homes, and savor all of the unique experiences and histories that Apulia has to offer. With Via Mondo, adventure vacations and food tours to Southern Italy are truly unique. Treasure the memories and the experiences because at the end of your trip, although you may have to leave southern Italy, it will never leave you.

“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.” – Cesare Pavese
